What is reality? Is it is something objectively present in the exterior world, external to our systems of cognitive thinking? Or is reality solely a constructed concept of the mind that we project onto the world around us? What is the role of theories and in particular scientific theories in our understanding of reality – do they represent or construct reality? And even if there is an objective exterior reality, can our cognitive apparatuses actually comprehend and decipher them accurately or are we constrained by our mental cognition?
